Minutes of the Board Meeting
November 7, 2007
Board members: Andrew Creighton, Fred Rosenberg, Bob Olsen, Della McLeod, Teressa Hodsall (chair), Judy Wapp, Heather Dahlgrin, Scott Gain, Alon Gelcer, Gord Andrews, Ceilidh Sutherland

1.Agenda and Minutes
The agenda, and the minutes from the October meeting, were approved.
2.Chairing of Meetings
Teressa and Andrew will be co-chairs for this year and will chair alternate meetings. Alon offered to chair also if needed.
3.Officers
The board agreed on the following officers for the coming year:
Teressa Hodsall, Chair
Andrew Creighton, Vice-Chair
Judy Wapp, Secretary
Gord Andrews, Treasurer
4.Strategic Planning and Consensus Sessions
The Strategic Planning session will be held on the evening of December 1 and all day on December 2, if Dave Fairbairn and Jocelyn Carver are available.
A consensus decision-making workshop will be held on November 28 or 29 in the evening, if Dave Fairbairn and Jocelyn Carver are available.
Action: Bill will contact Dave and Jocelyn about these times and report back to the board by email.
5.Personnel
The proposal from the personnel committee regarding a new employee was presented. The new members of the board decided they needed more information.
Action: Bill will email a detailed proposal to the board as soon as possible, and the board will consider it at the next meeting.
6.Next meeting
The next meeting will be part of the consensus decision-making session. If that does not work out, the next meeting will be held on December 5 at 7 pm.
