KCR Building Committee Meeting - Oct 1 2008.

 

In attendance: David Everest (Chair), Fred Rosenberg, Richard Metzner, Neil Sorochan, Terry Brennan (minutes).

Review of June actions

1. Hardee Panel install, caulk, paint. Done

2. Window Blind Repairs. Richard has spoken to Andrew (The BlindMan), and he is not interested in doing anything else with the blinds. We will repair blind in stairwell with broken string, and disable the ability to raise it.

3. Emergency Light. Done.

4. Front Wheelchair Ramp and Entry Tiling. Ongoing

5. Work Station in basement. Desk in Place. Need computer to run quickbooks.

6. Fundraising Targets. Ongoing

7. Storage Space. Done

8. Feng Shui Modifications. Ongoing

 

Ongoing Projects

1. Front Ramp. 2 to 3 days work. May possibly happen this fall.

2. Stone Stucco work around the windows has been started by Richard

3. Lounge Computer work table. To be completed within the month. Suggestion to use the existing legs, and add new top.

4. Lounge Furniture. Couch done (sponsorship trade with Country Furniture and Home Decor). Chairs and table, after the desk has been completed.

5. Winter Boot Cubbies. David will assemble.

6. Outside Signage. Ongoing. Waiting for funds and branding process.

7. Back Porch Teardown and rebuild. Next Year.

8. Basement Floor Paint. Smelly summer job, next year.

 

New Projects

1. Studio A Speaker Shelves. Need to know what size speakers will be going on them.

2. Lifetime Member Plaque. Given back to Board

3. Hall of Fame Plaque. Given back to Board.

 

Cleaning and Maintenance

Discussion that the work needs to be shared among more people. Terry will discuss at next staff mtg.

 

Paint Touch-ups

Fred will work on them.

Clean Marker in Studio A. Perhaps try Mr Clean Magic Eraser.

 

Vent Filters

This work needs to be done 2 times per year, spring and fall. David will clean.
