In this episode EcoCentric host, Lee-Ann Unger speaks with Gwen Barlee, Policy Director with the Western Canada Wilderness Committee who explains the need for legislation to protect endangered species in BC and the launch of http://www.lastplaceonearth.org, a campaign and website launched by four prominent BC based environmental organizations calling for endangered species legislation in BC; with Catherine Stewart, Fish Farm Campaigner with Living Oceans Society about collapsing salmon runs in the mid-coast of BC and the impact fish farms are having on wild salmon stocks; with Ian McAllister, Director with Pacific Wild about a new non-invasive video technology that offers a unique view of some of BC's most illusive wildlife; and with Evelyn Kirkaldy, resident of Slocan Park and member of the Save Radcliffe Ridge group about logging proposed for Slocan Park's, Radcliffe Ridge.

We read about Rupert Sheldrakes recent stabbing by a man who claims to be under the influence of mind control. Weird. The best prank ever played on a politician by a pair of Montreal radioshow hosts. I salute them both. I briefly discuss some of the freaky possibilities from the election and then play a joke trailer for a disney type movie featuring Sarah Palin, this too is creepy because of its closeness to truth. Easy Dub All Stars doing Floyds Us and Them from the album Dub Side of the Moon. We play a cut from the Adbusters Campaign Buy Nothing Day and discuss the impending day. Sri Lanka looks to legalize fresh cannabis for the thousands year old practice of Ayurvedic medicine. A cut from Zeitgeist Addendum. A slice of Hank Williams and I am so lonesome I could Cry. I start playing Terence McKennas talk called Crisis in Consciousness with a break from Cypress Hill When the shit goes down. We finish off with the rest of McKennas talk.
