Fane of the Cosmos - FANE BE HEAR NOW! WE HEAR FROM NAOMI KLEIN, GEORGE CARLIN, TERENCE MCKENNA AND OTHERS
On this weeks show we taste the glory of sex kabobs at the MarketFest on Baker St. in Nelson. We lament the fact that war resister Robin was picked up and being held in the Nelson City Police lockup over the weekend due to a call from Immigration Canada. Unknown to the Nelson Police a groundbreaking Supreme Court case was released recognizing the rights of war resisters to be held as refugees! We hear from George Carlin on drugs. Naomi Klein Naomi Klein’s speech at the National Conference for Media reform was not included on the conference website. SubMedia contacted Free Press, the organizer or the conference, to ask why Klein’s speech could not be found online, and the person explained that Free Press is a non-profit organization and that I should refer to the disclaimer on their website which reads: “Despite our best efforts, we feel that some of our speakers encroached on electoral space during their remarks at the National Conference for Media Reform. It is not in our interest to disseminate these recordings. We are reviewing all of our video content and will add that which we determine to be free of electoral statements to this page.” Yeah right. We also play a cut from Sir John Sulston on the world pharma position of profits over the needs of patients. Also Indiana Jones and the search for the old testicle. Music from Israel Vibration, Cypress Hill, ACDC and Terence McKenna. Thank you to Natural Alchemy for the 2 sweet cuts and to Phantom forest Electrix for their sponsorship of the show!
