The History Hour - What is capitalism and how does it make modern consciousness
Host Charles Jeanes reviews and dissects the scientism of Sir Richard Dawkins, author of "The God Delusion." Scientism is a deformed religion. Dawkins doesn't see this. He loathes religion as the cause of all human suffering. He displays huge ignorance of history. Jeanes takes his first look into capitalism as early modern Europeans first developed it. Marxian analytic tools can be applied to describe capitalism, in a way to explain some of the impact of this economic order on the consciousness of humans. Jeanes asks what is so new and modern about this economic order. Music by Bill Burns.
