The Open Window

Some tracks from Cairo to Toronto by Maryem and Ernie Tollar. She is an amazing Egyptian-Canadian singer. This is a great band and deserves to be called world music.

More from The Bright Mississippi by the legendary Allen Toussaint, his take on traditional music done in New Orleans style with a band of musicians not normally associated with that music including Nicholas Payton and Marc Ribot-- friendly, authentic, brilliantly played music.
