Carleen works with communities to protect Canadian independence by promoting progressive policies on fair trade, clean water, safe food, public health care, and other issues of social and economic concern to Canadians. 1:15pm Mike Bruce, Communications Director, Canadian Office and Employees Union, local 378. COPE 378’s Take Back the Power campaign highlights the loss of public control of energy generation in BC, government changes to our Energy Policy which exaggerate predictions of our power needs and works to educate the public about the problems with run-of-river projects and the 500 private power licenses under consideration. 1:35pm Corky Evans, MLA Nelson-Creston. Mr. Evans speaks with the EcoCentric about the important of public energy from both a provincial and local perspective.
