Neither Shall the Sword, the monograph on Fourth Generation Warfare by Colonel Chet Richards USAF (ret), is now available as a book. World Report reviews this brief introduction to current thinking about military reform. Richards' contribution to a growing literature in which members of the military criticize a contemporary war, is "honest, well-documented, easy to understand, carefully reasoned, thought-provoking, and well-written."
