Minutes of the Fundraising Committee
April 7th, 2010, 6:30pm
Fundraising Committee Members present: Teressa Hodsall (Minutes), Gord Andrews, Michael Murray (Chair), Dave Everest, Catherine Fisher (7pm)

1. Check In

2. Agenda and minutes approved.

•There were no minutes from the last meeting.

3. Follow-up on previous action items.

Michael will put a For Sale sign on the tower shack on the highway.
•Sign is on the tower. There was an offer on the tower of $500 we are asking $1,000. 
Action: Dave will talk to Terry about the offer before posting the sale of the tower on all available media by April 21st.

Michael will check with Deb re “Live to Air” events.

•No progress with Deb.

Action: Michael will contact Jay about “Live to Air” events.

4. Dave will inquire with Terry about outcome of NDCU $1000 which was tied to our signal expansion.

•The NDCU agreed to “top up” signal expansion efforts once an agreed upon amount was raised. This became redundant due to the Upper Valley expansion. Terry has written a press release thanking Valley supporters. The signal expansion is complete.
Action: Dave will check with Terry about Land & Water damage deposit.

5. KCR Card. Swipe.

•The Kootenay Coop Store already offers our members many benefits and it would not be worth jeopardizing.
Action: Judy will pass off to Deb to explore other venues.

6. Coin Jar

•Catherine was given the go ahead to approach location with the coin jars keeping in mind the KLDH Scanner Fund has coin jars out too.

7. Kayak Raffle/Gaming BC application/Yard sale

•Leah is currently working on the application hoping to be finalized this Friday. Tickets could be for sale as early as Earth Day weekend. Leah inquired about utilizing the resources to do an Early Bird Draw prize. The yard sale at Eva’s house has been postponed until May.

Action: Leah to work with the CCC for suggestions on who and where to organize KCR tables.
Action: Increase more add stops for the yard sale and put up more posters.

8. Fun Run/Walk

•The fun run/walk will be in the June. Gord and Bradley will need at least 2 others to help.

9. New Business

•"Direct" donations.
Action: Michael to write a promo for “direct “ donations. An automatic direct deposit donation set up at the NDCU.

•"Rockband o Baker”
•New Denver Dance
•Plant sale along with the yard sale.
